NetSuite ERP Software Review

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

Review on NetSuite ERP Software

NetSuite is single, integrated and powerful business management software which is available as SaaS. It has financial management, ERP, CRM and is a web based software solution, all integrated in one application. It is most suited to small and medium sized companies. NetSuite ERP Review will help you to know the major features, advantages and disadvantages of this software.

Netsuite is very economical as it is a cloud based application which saves installation time and IT infrastructure cost at the end of user. It provides easy access and holds the data at one point which saves valuable time and effort and data is available at every point of the company. Eventually this also gives real time analysis to the managers to make quick and right decisions which enhance working of the company. Portals offered by Netsuite improve collaboration between company, vendors and customer. Buyers and sellers of the company get access to check the status of their order or reorder or pending order which saves time and manpower of the company.

NetSuite ERP Review will now focus on the use experience of this software. NetSuite is one of the easiest software to use, it uses text and not graphics, online help and proper documentation is provided to give its users complete knowledge and wisdom to make optimum use of the facilities. Accounts receivables contains all the options required including billing and tracking shipping details, it also gives the facility to choose shipping method and calculate finance charges from the client. Accounts payables give the facility of writing vendor memos, purchase orders and quotations.

Inventory management apart from usual features provide the facility to paste pictures of products and specify a cost method, the only limitation is that only one costing method can be applied at a time. Payroll calculates salaries, deductions and also gives the facility to state active and inactive employees of the organization. Banking option has features like transfer funds, online bank statements, reconcile bank account, check deposit and checks issued etc. All the other necessary options and features have been incorporated in the software though few people and user are of opinion that its financial accounting is its strongest point and its CRM section is the weakest.

Let us now see some major disadvantages of this software in this NetSuite ERP Review. There are some features are missing from NetSuite like it is not downloadable software but it require login to the Netsuite website. This makes it speed dependant on the speed of internet connection which can be a major drawback. It is confusing at times as it uses text in place of graphic interface and quick change from one section to another is time consuming. Some people do not accept NetSuite as an ERP as it is just suited for four types of industry segments like wholesale distributors, IT resellers, software companies and professional services firm, it lacks industry specific resource planning capabilities for manufacturing units. By design and facilities NetSuite is found more suitable for small and midsize companies but its pricing has been questioned and is stated as bit out of reach of small companies.

But still Netsuite remains oldest and biggest SaaS ERP solution and shows the capabilities to handle a global business working in cloud based environment. To some extent it has been able to shake some customers from Microsoft GP, SAP and salesforce.com which supports its robustness and capabilities. This NetSuite ERP Review is brief information about the benefits and drawbacks of using this business application in an organization.
